Dental Assistant Team

Great dental care is never the work of one person. At Ultima Dental Wellness in Calgary, AB, the dental assistant team is an essential part of every patient experience, bringing skill, warmth, and genuine dedication to the chair alongside our doctors at every single appointment.

Ultima Dental Assistants

The dental assistant team at Ultima Dental Wellness are intraoral, or Level II dental assistants, and are multi-skilled healthcare professionals who possess a diverse knowledge base. They effectively perform clinical and technical skills. Their education and training, professionalism, and experience, coupled with provincial registration and licensing, qualify them to perform a variety of supportive and direct patient care procedures. Intraoral dental assistants prepare for and support patients in treatment by practicing universal precautions and infection control.

Our intraoral dental assistants update patients’ health histories and attend to their comfort and support. They help perform a variety of clinical procedures, including assisting the Ultima Dental dentists with the administration of anesthetics, general dentistry, and specialty procedures.

Our dental assistant team performs a wide range of services and plays an invaluable role in educating our patients about preventive as well as post-treatment care.

Abby

I am Abby, a registered dental assistant who has been working with Dr. Krim since 2011. I have had the pleasure of working with him for 9 years as his assistant and joined this wonderful team here in 2014. I bring 5 years of previous dental assisting experience in South Korea before I moved with my husband to Calgary. I graduated from a dental college in South Korea and attained a Canadian Dental Assistant Certification in 2010. It is very rewarding for me that I can help patients improve their oral health and also their self-confidence.

Dental Philosophy

  • Believe that preventive care and education are the keys to optimal dental health
  • Making every patient feels comfortable and relaxed as they can be during the visit.
  • My hubby’s joking with a funny face
  • Chatting with my family
  • Delicious food & sweet dessert
  • Seeing how happy our patients are after their dental treatment
  • Alberta steak
  • Anything my hubby cooks
  • Watching movies with good food and beer
  • Discovering a local coffee shop or restaurant
  • Traveling and walking to explore new places or old places

Ciara

My dental philosophy is to make every patient comfortable while they are in the chair to help them be comfortable with their smile for life.

If I could choose any meal it would be a wild-meat steak with a side of scallops fried in too much butter. Outside of eating, the things that make me smile the most are camping and fishing with my friends, and watching great films. On the weekend you are most likely to find me watching live music, or at home cross-stitching or working on another craft around the house.

I graduated from Columbia College in 2019, after being inspired to join the profession by my mom and identical twin that have both been dental assistants.
