The CDCP is now being rolled out to all eligible Canadian residents in phases, with full expansion continuing through 2026.

To qualify, you must:

• Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes
• Have filed your most recent tax return
• Have an adjusted family net income under $90,000
• Not have access to private dental insurance

Eligibility has expanded to include:

• Seniors aged 65 and older
• Children under 18
• Adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate
• Additional eligible adults (ages 18–64) being phased in throughout 2026

Applications can be submitted through the Government of Canada via:

• Online application portal
• Telephone application
• In-person at a Service Canada Centre

Once approved, Sun Life will send you a welcome package that includes:

• Your coverage start date
• A member card
• Details about your benefits

• $70,000–$79,999 → 40% co-payment
• $80,000–$89,999 → 60% co-payment
